RPG Combat Toolkit - Demo 1

This is a playable combat demo of the RPG Combat Toolkit (TBCS) – a modular, grid-based turn-based combat system built in Unity for classic CRPGs and tactics games.

It’s not a full game.  

This demo is a sandbox battle meant to showcase:

- Grid-based movement on a square tactical map  

- Turn order & initiative  

- Action Points (AP) and movement costs  

- Melee & ranged attacks  

- Area-of-effect (AOE) abilities with live zone previews  

- Health, status effects and turn-based death handling  

- Party UI with portraits, HP/AP and conditions

If you’re considering using the toolkit in your own game, this demo lets you *feel* the flow of combat.

## What you can do in this demo

- Move your party members across the grid  

- Attack enemies in melee or at range  

- Use abilities with different targeting modes (self, single target, AOE, line, etc.)  

- Observe turn order and how AP is spent each round  

- See basic feedback: hit/miss, damage, death, status effects

There is no story or progression here – this is **combat only**, as a focused slice of what the toolkit provides.

- Square grid movement with facing and multi-tile actors
